13th Annual River Revival
"Rescue Your River - Save the Hooch!"
SAVE-THE-DATE
May 14, 2009 at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park
Tickets go on sale April 3, 2009
Mark your calendars and save the date for the 13th Annual River Revival – scheduled for May 14th at Park Tavern. Last year's River Revival set records for attendance (over 700 people) and funds raised ($80,000). We are expecting nothing less than a spectacular evening for 2009! Check back to our website frequently for updates.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds and awareness for UCR’s work to protect and preserve the Chattahoochee River. UCR is dedicated to protecting and restoring the Chattahoochee River Basin—drinking water source for 3.5 million people. We work to advocate and secure the preservation and stewardship of the Chattahoochee River, its tributaries and watershed, for the people, fish and wildlife that depend on the river system.
This year’s River Revival will again kick off the Save the Hooch campaign sponsored by SweetWater Brewery. Through this campaign, a portion of proceeds from the sale of SweetWater beers between Memorial Day weekend and July 4th, as well as sales of paper fish at participating bars and restaurants, will go to support UCR’s mission.
Sponsor Information: With the continued threats our river faces, UCR needs your support more than ever. Click here to download the sponsor form and pledge your support for North Georgia’s most valuable natural resource by becoming a UCR event sponsor. In addition to receiving the satisfaction of knowing that your financial commitment will have a positive impact on the lives of the 3.5 million Georgians who depend on the Chattahoochee, you will also receive recognition from your peers for what you’re doing to help save our precious river.
If you are interested in sponsoring this event or other UCR events, please contact Tammy Morrissey at tmorrissey@ucriverkeeper.org or (404) 352-9828 ext. 12.
