Patron Appreciation Dinner
Each fall, Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR) holds a Patron Appreciation Dinner to honor individuals, companies, and groups who have made a significant possitive impact on our river. Sponsors, members, honorees, and guests gather for an evening of great food, wonderful company, live and silent auctions, and lively entertainment…all in celebration of our river.

Our 14th Annual Patron Appreciation Dinner was held Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park. Thanks to everyone who made the event such a great success! We honored Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., with our prestigious River Guardian Award in recognition of the company’s longtime support and, most recently, its contribution of creative and technical talent to produce our new “Tapped Out” presentation about the ongoing water crisis. Other honorees will be the Vasser Woolley Foundation, River Steward Award; SweetWater Brewing Company, River Awareness Award; and the six other Georgia Riverkeepers, River Heroes Award.

Sponsor Information: With the continued threat posed by Georgia’s continuing drought, UCR needs your support even more than before. Please pledge your support for North Georgia’s most valuable natural resource by becoming a UCR event sponsor. In addition to receiving the satisfaction of knowing that your financial commitment will have a positive impact on the lives of the 3.5 million Georgians who depend on the Chattahoochee, you will also receive recognition from your peers for what you’re doing to help save our precious river.

If you are interested in sponsoring this other UCR events, please contact Tammy Morrissey at tmorrissey@ucriverkeeper.org or (404) 352-9828 x12.
