Each fall, UCR hosts a membership gathering and meeting to celebrate our accomplishments and give members a chance to meet, mingle and learn more about our work.  The venue alternates yearly from inside and outside the Atlanta perimeter. In addition to providing a time and place for members to network, the meeting offers a program relating to the health of our watershed and ways to enjoy this great natural resource.

The 2008 Annual UCR Membership Meeting took the form of a party at SweetWater Brewery, Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 1pm to 4pm. Guests enjoyed a complimentary tour and tasting (with a valid ID), Popeye's new Louisiana Nuggets and famous biscuits, and live music. The program included special guest speaker Rep. Dubose Porter, House Minority Leader and river lover, and environmental exhibits for the whole family.

The party featured music from The Vagabonds, a "super group" of some of Atlanta's finest singer/songwrites who have come together to create a beautiful musical experience. The Vagabonds are Emily Kate Boyd, Christopher Alan Yates, Brian Bisky, and Gareth Asher.
