What To Do In Your Garden
Set your lawn mower blades one notch higher. Longer grass means less evaporation, and you can save 500 to 1500 gallons per month! Better yet, replace your grass with drought-tolerant ground cover.
Water in the early morning when it's cooler, and never water between 10-4pm because of evaporation.
Invest in rain barrels or cisterns to capture rooftop runoff and harvest rainwater for reuse for your garden and other non-potable uses.
