Headwaters Office Welcomes New Outreach Coordinator

We are pleased to welcome Hannah Warner, CRK’s Headwaters Outreach Coordinator, to our team. Hannah has been pursuing her career in environmental outreach at some fantastic places including St. Catherine’s Island Foundation and Red Top Mountain State Park on Lake Allatoona. Hannah is already planning several Headwaters events including the 8th Annual Sweep the Hooch on April 7 and 4thAnnual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on May 12.

 

Lake Lanier Aquatic Learning Center Finds New Home

The Lake Lanier Aquatic Learning Center will soon have a new home at Hall County’s River Forks Park! CRK is building a new dock and boat house for our Chota Princess II at the park’s fishing pier and a new season for the floating classroom will begin on March 1. Now in its 17th year, CRK and Elachee Nature Science Center have brought more than 65,000 students and teachers on board this one-of-a-kind environmental education program. Congratulations to the Enota Master Builders Lego Robotics Team!

Congratulations to the Enota Master Builders Lego Robotics Teamwho earned recognition for building an eco-friendly method of sanitizing poultry trucks and preventing contaminated runoff from reaching Lake Lanier. The team was awarded at the Regional, Super Regional and State Championship. CRK’s Headwaters Director, Dale Caldwell, was honored to support the team in their challenge.
