CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY RIVER REVIVAL
On Saturday, May 6, 2017, we will host a 3-mile paddle trip, art and music festival. The paddle will kick off at 3 p.m. (EST) below West Point Dam at Hardley Creek Park and end at the City of West Point’s new River Park where family-friendly festivities begin at 5 p.m.
CVRR Music & Art Festival
In 2016, we brought our annual River Revival event to the Chattahoochee Valley — where the river forms the
border between Georgia and Alabama. Over 80 paddlers and 250 guests turned out for a great paddle trip
and celebration of the Chattahoochee River. In keeping with the spirit of the event and the growth of CRK’s
presence in the Middle Chattahoochee region, we’ll be at it again in May 2017 with the 2nd Chattahoochee
Valley River Revival!
A 3-mile, family-friendly, paddle trip begins below West Point Dam at Hardley Creek Park and ends at the City of
West Point River Park.
After the paddle… some land-based fun for all!
• Where? The paddle trip ends City of West Point River Park where festivities will start following the paddle.
• What? Local artists, restaurants, and community groups will showcase their work during the free festival at the
City of West Point River Park. We will also have live music from regional musicians.
It’s a community gathering you won’t want to miss!

CVRR Paddle Trip Details
Before festivities start at the river park, join us for an afternoon paddle trip on the Chattahoochee River from Hardley Creek Park (below West Point Dam) to the City of West Point River Park.
Expect a leisurely two-hour paddle on flat water and the chance to explore a pristine and undeveloped stretch of the Chattahoochee River known as The Chattahoochee Valley Blueway Trail. Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK) will provide a shuttle service beforehand from the City of West Point River Park to Hardley Creek Park, and when needed, hands-on guidance and help from staff and volunteers before, during and after the paddle trip.
So bring along that kayak or paddleboard you got over the holidays as well as family and friends for an afternoon on the water together! Then enjoy music, art and food afterwards at the River Park in Downtown West Point.
Youth age requirements: If paddling solo, paddler must be at least 15 years old. If paddling tandem, youth must be at least 8 years of age and accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age.
