La legislaci\u00f3n puede proteger y mejorar nuestros recursos naturales, o puede acelerar su deterioro.<\/p>\n\n

CRK trabaja activamente para educar a los funcionarios electos y a los encargados de formular pol\u00edticas en todos los niveles de gobierno sobre asuntos relacionados con la protecci\u00f3n y restauraci\u00f3n de la cuenca del r\u00edo Chattahoochee. Desde 1994, CRK ha ayudado a promover importantes leyes de protecci\u00f3n de r\u00edos a nivel estatal, al mismo tiempo que trabaja para derrotar proyectos de ley antiambientales.<\/p>\n\n

Contrariamente a la creencia popular, los grupos sin fines de lucro pueden cabildear, siempre que operen dentro de los l\u00edmites del IRS en cuanto al volumen y el gasto real en los esfuerzos de cabildeo. CRK tiene mucho cuidado de llevar a cabo nuestras actividades de cabildeo, principalmente en el Capitolio estatal, dentro de estos l\u00edmites.<\/p>\n\n

CRK works alongside the\u00a0Georgia Water Coalition\u00a0under the\u00a0Gold\u00a0Dome to protect and care for Georgia\u2019s water resources. Every year, we work with our partners and legislators to protect stream buffers, to ensure the safe handling of power plants\u2019 coal waste, and other important water-protection issues like protecting the Okefenokee Swamp.<\/p>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>
