La Princesa Chota II<\/h2>\n\n

El Chota Princess II, Chota para abreviar, vive en el parque River Forks del condado de Hall en Gainesville y sirve como el Centro de aprendizaje acu\u00e1tico del lago Lanier (LLALC), un programa educativo galardonado que comenz\u00f3 en 2000. Es el segundo barco del LLALC y fue lanzado en el verano de 2007. Construido por Corinthian Catamarans y aparejado a la medida por el ex capit\u00e1n de barco de CRK, Harlan Trammell, el Chota mide cuarenta pies de largo y diez pies de ancho. Between the months of March and November, the Chota can often be spotted on Lake Lanier near Three Sisters Islands, as she runs upwards of fifteen to twenty school trips on busy weeks. More than 5,000 students and teachers come from all across metro Atlanta to experience a truly unique hands-on learning experience each year. The Chota is also chartered for special outings and tours.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>

The Miss Juliet<\/h2>\n\n

CRK is the only entity to routinely patrol and test water quality in the Chattahoochee River between Buford Dam and West Point Lake. Our patrol boat was custom-built by Oquawka Boats in Illinois, designed by CRK to navigate the river\u2019s rocky shoals. The Miss Juliet \u2013 named after CRK\u2019s former executive director Juliet Cohen \u2013 is powered by a 150 HP Yamaha outboard engine converted to a 105 HP jet drive. She runs without a traditional propeller, allowing her to navigate in as little as three inches of water.<\/p>\n\n

Her outer hull is constructed with one-quarter inch think aluminum, making her tough as a tank \u2013 and literally bulletproof! The patrol boat can rub against a rocky shoal without sustaining any damage, so we can keep patrolling every part of the river.<\/p><\/div>\n\n

La se\u00f1orita Sally<\/h2>\n\n

Following the tremendous success of the Lake Lanier floating classroom program on board the Chota Princess II, we began the process of building a second floating classroom boat for West Point Lake in 2014. After a nine-month long construction period by The American Pontoon Company, the Miss Sally launched on West Point Lake in July 2015.<\/p>\n\n

Named after CRK\u2019s founding Riverkeeper Sally Bethea, the Miss Sally is a forty-two foot long TriToon vessel capable of carry up to forty-four passengers. She is powered by new state-of-the art 150 HP twin Suzuki outboard engines. Today, the Miss Sally is home to the West Point Lake Floating Classroom and hosts several thousand students and teachers from the Middle Chattahoochee region every year, in addition to wildlife, history and music programs for all ages.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>
