Restauraci\u00f3n Ribere\u00f1a y Educaci\u00f3n: Proyecto de Restauraci\u00f3n del R\u00edo Soque<\/strong><\/p>\n

El Proyecto de Educaci\u00f3n y Restauraci\u00f3n Ribere\u00f1a de las Cabeceras del R\u00edo Chattahoochee se centr\u00f3 en demostrar el valor de las zonas ribere\u00f1as (a orillas de los arroyos) funcionales para proteger la salud de los arroyos y ayudar a las comunidades interesadas a proteger y restaurar estos sistemas.<\/p>\n

El Proyecto de Restauraci\u00f3n del R\u00edo Soque ha sido la piedra angular del Proyecto de Restauraci\u00f3n y Educaci\u00f3n Ribere\u00f1a. En estrecha cooperaci\u00f3n con cient\u00edficos de la Agencia de Protecci\u00f3n Ambiental de EE. UU. (EPA) y un propietario privado, CRK restaur\u00f3 un tramo de r\u00edo de 1300 pies severamente erosionado en el condado de Habersham en 1998, utilizando una t\u00e9cnica nueva en Georgia. Otros socios del proyecto incluyeron Savage-Roberts Farms, el Servicio de Pesca y Vida Silvestre de los EE.     Resultados del proyecto<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Despu\u00e9s de la finalizaci\u00f3n del proyecto, se reinstalaron pernos para monitoreo y la erosi\u00f3n de los bancos ahora es insignificante incluso despu\u00e9s de fuertes lluvias. Por lo tanto, se logr\u00f3 el objetivo principal de CRK: una disminuci\u00f3n en la producci\u00f3n de sedimentos. La diversidad del h\u00e1bitat de los peces tambi\u00e9n mejor\u00f3 en esta secci\u00f3n del Soque, y una vez que floreci\u00f3 la zona ribere\u00f1a plantada, las temperaturas del arroyo disminuyeron.<\/p>\n
