La Corte Suprema de los EE. UU. dictamin\u00f3 en una opini\u00f3n de 9 a 0 que Florida no present\u00f3 un argumento legal convincente ni proporcion\u00f3 pruebas suficientes de que Georgia utiliza demasiada agua de los r\u00edos Chattahoochee y Flint.
