Two-day overnight paddle + cleanup
November 2 @ 8:00 am - November 3 @ 3:00 pm
Back for the 7th year, this 13-mile, two-day paddle cleanup is an incredible journey through a part of the river not accessible to most.
We will paddle eight miles from Riverview Landing in Mableton to the Highway 166 Bridge off Campbellton Road on Saturday starting promptly at 8 a.m., enjoy primitive camping on Saturday night on Buzzard Island (no amenities other than the beautiful river view and friendly fellow campers), and paddle the remaining five miles on Sunday (we’re planning to be off-river by 3 p.m.).
While this adventure is led by staff and volunteers, we’re depending on very well-prepared, self-sufficient individuals to make this an enjoyable trip for all. Once we start this journey on Saturday, you are committed to the trip until Sunday afternoon as there are no access points in between. Chattahoochee Riverkeeper will have means to transport all volunteer camping gear.
