SweetWater Brewery is expanding its efforts to protect our right to clean water with the debut this summer of the Save Our Water Campaign — the proceeds of which will benefit waterkeepers such as CRK. From July 4 to Labor Day, retailers are teaming up with SweetWater and the Waterkeeper Alliance with a fundraising campaign through retail sales, special events and donations. There’s no better incentive to support our cause than the return of the Waterkeeper Hefeweizen, which Southern Brew News‘ Bob Townsend called a “fresh and refreshing yeast-forward brew.”

Proceeds of sales of this brew and at retailers will benefit the Waterkeeper Alliance. Support our efforts by visiting the Save Our Water website, www.waterkeeperbrew.org, to make a donation, and join us this summer at fun events that will be continually updated on the Save Our Water website as well as the SweetWater Facebook page. Thanks to efforts like these, SweetWater has helped raise $350,000 for CRK’s river patrol and water monitoring programs. So please don’t forget to look for CRK when you donate to Save Our Water!

Since SweetWater began partnering with CRK with the Save the Hooch Campaign back in 2006, it has raised more than $350,000 to support CRK’s river patrol and water quality monitoring programs. The success of this campaign has inspired SweetWater to partner with other riverkeepers as well, and now they are using their creative marketing tactics to support the work of the Black Warrior, Savannah, Neuse, and French Broad Riverkeepers!
