Detalles del evento

We’re celebrating 30 years of keeping watch over our waters by hosting three special paddle outings to highlight some of our favorite stretches of the Chattahoochee River and its tributaries!

Join us for the second paddle of the series on the river downstream of Atlanta. This two-day paddling adventure will cover 11 miles from Riverview Landing in Smyrna to the Highway 166 Boat Ramp off Campbellton Road/Fairburn Rd.

On Saturday, we’ll paddle seven miles passing Nickajack Creek, Six Flags, and Utoy Creek before we arrive at Buzzard Island, where we will set up our camp. On Sunday morning, we’ll paddle the remaining five miles passing by Sweetwater Creek State Park. Note this is primitive camping with no amenities but the beautiful scenery and our friendly companions!

Your camping gear will be transported by motorboat and will be waiting for us when we reach the island. Meals are not included, but a cook stove, campfire, and plenty of water will be available.

More about CRK’s 30th Anniversary Paddle Series:

Registration for each trip opens approximately two months before the event date and the fee is $30 per person for each event. Boat rentals will be available for each trip and based on a limited supply.
