MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. Join Chattahoochee Riverkeeper for a cleanup in partnership with Devine GA y Hollywood Cemetery to continue our efforts toward a Trash-Free Chattahoochee on Monday, January 20th from 9am to 12pm.
The exact address will be provided to registered volunteers a few days prior to the event. Why? Because rain events move the trash and we want to pick a location that needs our attention the most. Gloves and cleanup supplies provided.
Will I get dirty and potentially wet? YES!
Whether land based or paddling, all our cleanups involve getting in or around the river or a tributary – this is where the trash is. But there are opportunities to stay dry. Either way, we promise you’ll have fun!
Thank you for volunteering!
