We’re celebrating 30 years of keeping watch over our waters by hosting three special paddle outings to highlight some of our favorite stretches of the Chattahoochee River and its tributaries!
We’ll kick things off with a gentle day-paddle on the beautiful Soque River as it flows into the Chattahoochee! Along the way, we will share insights about this section of river, observe two waterfalls, and enjoy lunch mid-way on a beach. Access to the Soque River is limited, so this is a very special opportunity!
We’ll be paddling 4 miles from Cannon Bridge in Demorest to Wildwood Outfitters in Cleveland. Based on water levels, this section has a very moderate flow and some shoals to navigate. Suitable for beginner paddlers that know basic strokes.
Optional camping is offered Friday night (June 7). Attendees must bring their own camping gear, but restrooms and running water will be available. For those camping, plan to arrive no earlier than 3 pm and before dark on Friday so you can set up camp.
For those arriving Saturday morning, please arrive no later than 9:30 am.
Included in your $30 registration fee: dinner Friday night, continental breakfast Saturday morning, and the shuttle fee. Attendees must bring their own lunch and drinks for Saturday.
