CRK 30: Soque River Paddle

June 7 @ 8:00 am -
June 8 @ 5:00 pm

Event Details

We’re celebrating 30 years of keeping watch over our waters by hosting three special paddle outings to highlight some of our favorite stretches of the Chattahoochee River and its tributaries!

We’ll kick things off with a gentle day-paddle on the beautiful Soque River as it flows into the Chattahoochee! Along the way, we will share insights about this section of river, naturalize, observe a waterfall, and enjoy lunch.

The Soque River and its watershed are located entirely within the county boundaries of Habersham County. It is a tributary that flows directly into the Chattahoochee River. We’ll be paddling three miles (great for any paddler!) from Cannon Bridge in Demorest to Wildwood Outfitters in Cleveland. Optional camping is offered Friday night (attendees must bring their own camping gear but restrooms and running water will be available).

Your registration fee includes dinner on Friday night, continental breakfast on Saturday morning, and the shuttle. Attendees must bring their own paddle-friendly lunch for Saturday.

More about CRK’s 30th Anniversary Paddle Series:

Registration for each trip opens approximately two months before the event date and the fee is $30 per person for each event. Boat rentals will be available for each trip and based on a limited supply.
