Help us work towards our goal of a Trash-Free Chattahoochee by joining this paddle cleanup on the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta!
We will be paddling a 3-5 mile section of the river within the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area in a location to be determined. Rain events move the trash and we want to pick a location that needs us most.
Specific trip details, including the address of where we’ll be meeting, will be emailed to you a week prior to the trip date. Volunteers must provide their own kayak or canoe, paddling gear, water and lunch/snacks. CRK can provide a few sit-on-top kayaks as they are available. Additional details will be provided in your confirmation email.
For planning purposes, we will meet at the put-in at 8 a.m., unload boats, then everyone drives to the takeout and shuttle back. Passengers (people who rode with someone else) will stay with the boats while we shuttle. We should conclude by 1-2pm.
