Atlanta Cleanup

Chattahoochee Riverkeeper is hosting this cleanup to continue our efforts toward a Trash-Free Chattahoochee on Saturday, December 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This year, we have already removed over 59 TONS of trash from our watershed. Join us for the final cleanup of the year!

The general location for the cleanup will be West Atlanta close to Bolton Road and Parrot Ave.

A few notes about this cleanup:

• The exact address will be provided to registered volunteers a few days prior to the event. Because rain can move trash and carry it downstream, we try to pick a location that needs our attention the most.
• Whether our cleanup is taking place on land alongside a waterway or in canoes or kayaks, all our cleanups involve getting in the river or a tributary, meaning you will most likely get wet and/or dirty. Dress accordingly! All necessary cleanup gear like gloves, bags, and trash grabbers will be provided.
• Our volunteers’ safety comes first! To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will follow current CDC guidelines as they apply on the event date and will alert you of any protocols.
• Please fill out the form linked here using your personal contact info (not company). This registration is for one person only. In order to bring enough gear for everyone, please do not bring any additional unregistered guests.

As a volunteer, you’ll receive a free one-year membership to Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.
