Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, TPL’s Chattahoochee RiverLands, and Birds Georgia are teaming up to host a paddle trip from Johnson Ferry to Paces Mill within the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. This seven-mile trip starts with easy paddling the first half of the trip, then we enter into the Palisades area with easy Class 1 shoals. The Palisades section is one of the most scenic stretches of the Chattahoochee River in metro Atlanta.
Additional details will be provided in your confirmation email. Specific trip details will be emailed to registered participants one week prior to the trip date.
For planning purposes, we will meet at the put-in at 8am, unload boats, then drive to the take-out. A shuttle bus will return us to the put-in. A limited number of sit-on-top kayaks are available to borrow with gear. We will conclude by 3pm. With some exceptions, inflatable boats are not allowed.
