Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, TPL’s Chattahoochee Riverlands, and Georgia Audubon are teaming up to host this 11-mile paddle trip through a part of the river not accessible to most – but great things are coming for this stretch of river.
Join us as we paddle from Riverview Landing in Smyrna to the Highway 166 Bridge off Campbellton Road. We will be spending a great deal of time exploring Buzzard Island.
Additional details will be provided in your confirmation email. Specific trip details will be emailed to registered participants one week prior to the trip date.
For planning purposes, we will meet at the put-in at 8am, unload boats, then drive to the take-out. A shuttle bus will return us to the put-in. A limited number of sit-on-top kayaks are available to borrow with gear. We will conclude by 3pm. With some exceptions, inflatable boats are not allowed.
